WellNest Counseling, located in Farmers Branch, TX, is a compassionate practice specializing in child play therapy while expanding into adolescent and adult counseling. Under the leadership of Melissa Griffing, WellNest Counseling is dedicated to supporting clients through various life stages with a nurturing, holistic approach to mental health.
As the practice continues to grow, Melissa reached out for a logo rebranding that would better reflect the expanding scope of services and the evolving identity of WellNest Counseling. The goal was to create a logo that would resonate with both children and adults while maintaining the warmth, trust, and accessibility central to their practice. The new design needed to grow with the practice, capturing its values and the diverse therapeutic services it offers now and in the future.
The current logo for WellNest Counseling struggled to accurately reflect the essence of the practice. It was visually busy with multiple colors and overly complex elements, which made it difficult to establish a clear, cohesive brand identity. The design felt outdated and didn’t align with the practice’s values of warmth and nurturing care.
Melissa needed a fresh, modern logo that would better represent the name WellNest—a symbol of growth, comfort, and support. The previous logo was not welcoming or versatile enough to support the practice’s expansion into adolescent and adult counseling. Melissa sought a design that would appeal to both children and adults while conveying a sense of trust and accessibility, perfectly complementing the evolving direction of WellNest Counseling.
To better align with WellNest Counseling's mission and values, we crafted a new logo that is modern, welcoming, and adaptable, perfectly suited for the growing practice.
🐦 Bird Icon: The Wren was chosen as the central bird in the design because it symbolizes humbleness, simplicity, and adaptability. Wrens are known for building intricate, protective nests, making them a perfect metaphor for the safe, nurturing space WellNest provides for its clients.
🏡 The Nest: The nest is styled with clean, elegant lines, forming a refined structure. The four lines represent the core values driving WellNest Counseling: Family, Dedication, Honesty, and Respect. These values serve as the foundation of both the nest and the practice, symbolizing the safety and warmth clients experience at WellNest.
✍️ Custom Font: A custom-tailored font was designed for the logo, with a subtle touch of creativity—the “E” in WellNest contains a small Wren incorporated into the shape, connecting the overall theme of care and support.
🌿 Color Choice: A soft green was selected to symbolize growth, renewal, and a sense of calm and safety—qualities central to the therapeutic experience at WellNest.
Overall, the new logo is designed to be timeless, ensuring it evolves seamlessly with the practice as it expands into new areas of counseling for children, adolescents, and adults.
